Cai’atal alrum Aziel of the Empire of Minbar
Adept in good standing of the imperial guild of armourers and fine crafters. Currently serving his fourth year of Inspiration. Aziel was born and raised to his craft as many youths within the empire are, with a simple flair for fine metal work he was apprenticed to the guild of Armourers and Fine Craftsmen at an early age. Despite this natural aptitude and interest he seemed to lack some fundamental creative spark which frustrated him throughout his apprenticeship and years as a journeyman. A legacy of the years before the sundering. The imperial guild houses of Minbar required their artisans to acquire a broad understanding of their individual crafts and as a result those who produce arms and armour, as Aziel did, undergo a wide and rigorous training in all the items they must craft. As part of their final years as journeymen each prospective adept is required to spend a minimum of 5 years on trial out in the world to acquire a wider perspective of their craft and of other cultures. This is partly to gather knowledge but equally to ensure their crafts do not become stagnant. These last few years have seen Aziel travel far from home, working his way across the continent either as a smith or sword for hire, as circumstances permit. He is looking for something intangible, something that might spark the fire within him his tutors always described. Determined to prove them wrong before he returns from his trials. Currrently he's only found nothing but few new scars and a few to many bars. |
