With Saru still away Damakos started the day with a shopping trip to pick up some magical supplies the party then decided to tackle the “Clear Houses” job.
The job was to go in an clear seven houses in the of the north of Thundera's second district so that rebuilding could begin.
Upon arriving at the area Harbeck spotted a number of figures retreating into a couple of houses so the party decided to go to the closest of those homes to begin, however on the way 2 giant centipedes came out of the ground and attacked.
The creatures were quickly dispatched and the party continued to their first target where Damakos took the lead and knocked on the door, with no reply Zrayax kicked the door in and the party discovered three peasants within.
The peasants claimed to have been living there for 10 years, long before the present endeavor to rebuild the city began and had no intention of leaving, saying that their boss took good care of them.
Damakos and Zrayax started to threaten the peasants, Immeral began to worry that the party were going to start something without knowing who or what was in the other houses and they'd potentially be overwhelmed if all the other households came out to help and tried to calm things down but Damakos decided he'd had enough and cast Burning Hands at the lead peasant in spite of Immeral attempting to cast Hold Person on him.
Damakos and Zrayax killed all three peasants and then Zrayax went to check out the house opposite which turned out to contain and angry goblin who shot the barbarian with a bow before the big Dragonborn killed it with one hit.
The party moved onto the next building though Immeral decided he wanted no part of this clusterf%#k and went to wait for the party at their arrival point, that was until he realised the rest of the party weren't looting the houses they were clearing and figured as he was here anyway he may as well make a bit of coin for himself
The rest of the party split up with Sin'dorii and Damakos going one way and Zrayax and Harbek going the other
The ranger and warlock entered their first house and were met by three gnolls who went on the attack immediately taking down Bear the bear before the two party members eventually took them down.
I the mean time, whilst looting the goblin's house Immeral was attacked by a goblin assassin who's successful strike was his undoing as the lightning strike unleased by the tempest clerics's Wrath of the Storm reaction fried him to a crisp.
Harbeck decided to try a different tactic at his first house and knocked politely, when a female halfling answered the dwarf calmly explained the situation and offered her a place to stay whilst the area was being rebuilt, something the halfling said she'd happily do if she could get a written decree from the mayor that she'd have a definite place to live during the building process which the Paladin agreed to.
Harbeck attempted to continue the peaceful approach at the next house but when his knock got no answer Zrayax kicked the door in and they were met with an irate couple who turned out to be veterans of numerous conflicts, him a warrior and her a monk, who were not easy to take down though Harbeck did eventually best the warrior and the the monk followed shortly after.
As Damakos and Sin'dorii Approached the next house they discovered that the inside was cloaked in magical darkness though the door was open, so Sin'dorii used an age old ranger trick to discover what lay within. He put his boot to Damakos' backside and shoved him into the building and waited to see what happened...
