After a fairly uneventful childhood where Fëanáro showed promise in academic pursuits he was accepted into Yllena Thalore, an academic institution focusing on many different scholarly pursuits. After many years studying ancient historic texts of Sylvan and Draconic races he published several papers on the theoretical origins of various subspecies within the fey realms and possible links to Draconic bloodlines. This line of research turned out to be a dead end and his works were widely mocked in the larger academic community. Unable to face the disgrace of decades of fruitless research Fëanáro started searching through the ancient tomes of Yllena Thalore's library in search of a new discipline. In a forgotten basement level deep in the stacks of faded parchment and worn books Fëanáro found several books on the origin of magic and a new passion for academic research was ignited within him.
After several years studying the basics of magic Fëanáro had exhausted the tomes that Yllena Thalore's library had to offer and started hearing promise of ancient knowledge in far flung reaches of the continent. Knowing that since his unwilling exit from the world of academia he would have to find work to fund his new line of study Fëanáro decided to make his way offering his new found skills in magic to adventurers and occasionally performing illusions in villages to pay for a place to sleep. |
