In the dark Damakos began seeing little lights flaring up around him so decided to attempt to intimidate them by shouting “Fear Me” at the top of his voice which miraculously seemed to work, “Obey Me”...not so much.
He then decided to run randomly in a direction, slamming into a wall pretty quickly and decided to feel along the wall to find his way out, firing an Eldritch Blast into the ceiling to try and intimidate the lights which just cause a sound of laughter from his tormentors, which was quickly silenced when a second Eldritch Blast found it mark extinguishing one of the lights for good.
In the mean time Zrayax looted the husband and wifes bodies and home before he and Harbeck headed down toward the final house.
Sindorii decided to be helpful and threw a lit torch into the doorway of the darkened house in an attempt to let Damakos see where the exit was, but as Damakos headed towards it he was thrown back by some unseen force hearing more laughter and something tiny saying “Hes too entertaining, he cant leave”.
Getting frustrated Damakos tried a Charm spell on the lights but it failed utterly and was quickly turned against him when he found himself charmed and feeling really rather happy in his new home.
Outside, Sindorii decided that Damakos was a lost cause and that the house was obviously evil and began putting kindling up against the walls as burning the house down was clearly the only answer.
At the final house Zrayax an Harbeck find a load of crates addressed to “Longbows & Lillies”, and from inside the house strange music(?) Could be heard.
Zrayax knocked, but couldnt be heard over the music.
Giving in to his curiosity Harbeck opened the crates and discovers they contained musical instruments that have all been altered with gears and pipes. Zrayax decided to use the drum kit to get the attention of whoever was inside and was able to get a brief conversation with the occupant through the door, but it was short and ended with Zrayax being told to go away.
Giving up with the diplomatic approach Zrayax kicked down the door to see an orc playing a cello like lute, but the cello had been altered in the same way as the other instruments and was the obvious origin of the music. The orc did not like his rehearsal being interrupted and defended himself when Zrayax attacked using his instrument as a weapon, knocking the barbarian out of the door which the orc promptly kicked shut.
Harbeck tried next, but the orc began playing a power ballad that Charmed the paladin into stopping his attack.
Back with Damakos, the flames from Sindoriis fire gave the warlock enough light to see that his foes were, in fact, Pixies.
Sindorii noticed that the flames were now creeping up past where the roof of the building was supposed to be and it seemed the building was actually a lot taller than it had appeared at first.
Inside the house Damakos finally shook off the effects of the Charm spell and went on the offensive causing the pixies to stop playing around and attack back.
At the same time a human, a goblin and a dragonborn all turned up at the orc house, the rest of Longbows & Lillies had arrived and with all four bards working together it was difficult for the party to be very efficient as none of them could save against the charm spells the band were casting.
Watching from a distance Immeral decided his party were a bunch of idiots and went back to the inn to wait and see if any of them survived.
With most of the party Charmed into a more passive mind state the human bard (and lead singer of the group) talked with Harbeck and explained that the mayor had promised them the house to practice in as they were to be one of the main acts at the upcoming Ash Day Remembrance event.
As the two sides made peace Damakos finally saw an opening, literally, as a hole made by one of his Eldritch Blasts was made big enough for him to fit through by the fire, so he made a break for it jumping through. Unfortunately he only made it half way out, having misjudged the holes size slightly and there ensued a bout of tiefling tug-o-war as the party fought the pixies over who had rights to the warlock.
Eventually, with the help of Longbows & Lillies, the party won and Damakos was freed.
The party and the human lead singer went back to the mayor who was unaware that the band had taken up residence in the house due to red tape, but he promised to find the band a new rehearsal space immediately and agreed to the halfling request for a letter of compliance, sending it back with the bard finishing up the job.
